Happy New Year

Thank you once again for joining me in my end of year recap. The last half of the year blazed by and I experienced more changes to my family that while were anticipated changes they also arrived much faster than I dreamed.

Both my parents formally retired in the spring and began the process of weeding out 30+ years of belongings in my childhood home. I tried to maintain regular visits with them and to help with removing/moving things as necessary. At the end of the summer both of my parents and my sister left Massachusetts and moved down to South Carolina which has been a long term goal for them. They seem happy, healthy and excited for the next chapter of life. The sale of my childhood home really closed the chapter on that part of my life and I still have mixed feelings about the way life moves, the changes and what I carry. I also lost a cousin this year who had been battling sickness for sometime and that really sent shockwaves through my life as my family struggled with this loss.

I am finding my way without the cornerstones of my family being present. It is hard, it is weird, and it is different.

I managed to stay plenty busy this year in between my day job, maintaining a home and marriage, and of course making art. I am thankful for all of the support from shows this year; new friends and fans of the books, returning commission clients and for the trust I have built. Thanks for being here and for reading my update, now onto focusing on active projects and some updates for the coming 2026 year.

Legends of Lys – My main comic title shifted into a more dormant status this year, which I usually refer to as “under the hood”. This typically describes the next phase of a project for me, focusing on tasks such as writing scripts, character design, story structure, and lore. With Sibling Rivalry out in the world and in print, I stepped away from Legends to focus on the following story about Fenrir (More to come below on that front). The following story in the legends set is a large one called War Of The Storms. It's a culmination of all the storylines I’ve been writing and working on for years. Much of the buildup to these has been featured in the Legends Annuals, which spotlight Talos and other tales of folklore from around the Legendsverse. I am interested in seeing Tales of Talos in Print, as it's the stepping stone to the next volume of legends. However, I'm unsure if that would be just for me, or if I would sell the collected edition. I am unsure.

Current Status: Volumes 1-3 are available for purchase HERE. Annuals are available here on the site.

Fenrir & The Wrath Of The Witch Queen: The sister book to Legends of Lys is back! I’ve spent alot of 2024 and 2025 working on pages for FATWOTWQ (What an abbreviation I know). In September I self published the first issue of the story in a single issue format which I havent done for years. Personally I love the look of the single issue, I am planning on continuing the release of those single issues over the next year so keep a look out for that. I’m currently at work drawing the last half of the story (Issue 5 of WOTWQ or Issue 10 of Fenrir if we are tracking like that?).

Current Status: Volume 2 In Progress, Volume 1trade paperback, and Issue 1 of Wrath Of The Witch Queen is available on my webstore. Fenrir can also be seen in the new Legends of Lys Annual 3 here on the website!

The Expeditions Of Atlas Clarke: Atlas is still offline, will his Daddy, Cory, return to boot the resident android back online for another adventure? Only time will tell.

Current Status: Completed. Trade paperback is available here

Other Projects

The Elks (Elkswood)– A comic I’ve had in development for some time. Originally, this was a project about Punk and Hardcore bands in Massachusetts during the early 2000s. This has evolved into a Horror comic, it's still based around Punk/Hardcore bands in the early 2000s in Massachusetts. I am currently writing the fourth issue of the book and working on some character designs/development. Once Fenrir, Vol. 2, is finished, I will formally begin working on artwork and pages for the book. I am aiming to release a single of this in 2026!

Current status: Writing on Issue 4 is in progress, and character designs are in progress.

Tendonitus Vol. 1 – The art book I have been teasing for a few years, which offers a behind-the-scenes look and sketches of projects, is gaining traction. I’ve seen some examples of how others do this, and I think it could be really cool with the amount of material/sketches that I do have. I think this will be one of my winter projects to work on.

Current Status: Page layouts and pre production in progress.

The Ten Rings: The novel continues, and not much progress was made in 2025 again. Given how busy a lot of my comic work was this year, along with shows and commissions, I didn’t dedicate a lot of time to this. I spent some time recently reading through the last few chapters and dove back into writing, but nothing significant that will push the novel forward.
Current status: Paused; I’m currently working on the 2nd part of the book. I’ve completed part 1 and its interludes and have parts 2 and 3 outlined.

Cosmonaut: I did not make any new progress with Cosmonaut in 2025.
Current Status: Paused.

Hypershock: I did not make any new progress with Hypershock in 2025.
Current Status: Paused.

2025 really stressed to me that large demographics of the populace do not read, arent interested in reading or struggle with attention span due to technology. I’ve pondered on this most of the year and especially considered in when making decisions to print physical books and media. I will always be a physical books and media person. There is something about the relationship between a book and you and the amount of time you spend holding this book and carrying it with you that seems so special to me. I’m making it a goal of mine to read more physical books in 2026.
